During this short lived sunshine many, including me, have started updating their Summer wardrobes, buying the latest holiday trends including giant pool inflatables in amazing characters such as unicorns, pineapples and pizza slices.

In preparation for my holiday coming up. I have been purchasing a few new bits, especially footwear.

I love shoes. Here are the selection of pieces which have somehow crept into my wardrobe without me realising. They are easy to put on and off and have a really cute water melon pattern.

They could be paired with a summery dress or playsuit. I love that the base colour is black with lots of colourful patterns and pom poms around the ankle to decorate.

I think these are a really fun pair of shoes. Flip Flops Primark have great flip flops every year.

Absolute bargain. This year I have picked up two pairs. One is pink with a gold pineapple print, the other is white with a gold floral print.

I love the subtle glitter detail, I think it makes the shoes look really pretty and summery.

Obviously been a very busy bee through out the month of August. However, this post is all about the things I have been loving through out September.

So lets get started…. Fairy Light Curtain Since moving to my new uni house in Southampton I have been decorating it to make it as homely as possible.

One of the first things I ordered from Amazon were these fairy lights. I love fairy lights, I already have others hanging around my room but I think they make a room really cosy, especially a bedroom.

These muffins are found in the free from section of supermarkets, mine were from Tesco. I cannot eat milk so these are a perfect treat for me.

They are also gluten free.

Although there was a bit of furniture included in the house, there was more that needed to be bought. I have taken a good few trips to IKEA in the last two weeks.

IKEA is amazing, you get good quality products for such a cheap price, as well as more expensive items. From my few trips I have managed to pick a variety of items including a chest of drawers, full length mirror, plastic storage boxes, fabric storage boxes, toothbrush holders, bins and some small kitchen bits.

There is such a huge range of products you are bound to find at least one thing in there you are after. Cutlottes Definitely a late bloomer when it comes to the cutlotte craze.

I was out shopping one afternoon, back home, and thought I would just try some on for the hell of it. Since then I have picked up a few pairs from Missguided and Zara.

I even then went a step further and bought a cutlotte style jumpsuit from Primark and Boohoo. I really love cutlottes for both casual and smart wear as they are so easy to dress up and down.

This year I decided to paint him a picture as part of his present. To do this I used oil paints which I have hardly used the last year.

I love painting with oils so decided to give it a go. Palette knives were used for this painting. I like the way it turned out and had a lot of fun creating it.

Sam likes animals and I thought he would appreciate a personal gift. Hopefully he likes it! The show is filled with romance, action, fantasy and comedy.

If you love The Vampire Diaries then you will definitely love this show. It is also a lot better than Twilight. The Gym This only became a favourite of mine this week, so it will be interesting to see if it remains to be an October favourite.

I rejoined the gym last Friday and I am glad to say I have been loving it. Hopefully I will keep it up. Earlier this Summer I was invited to one of my friends weddings.

This was no traditional English wedding it was a Muslim wedding.

It was exotic and gorgeous, as well as a wonderful cultural learning experience. On the lead up to the wedding I had no idea what to wear at all.

Floral and lace are a good place to start when it comes to a wedding. Is it on the beach? In the countryside? Or in a city? Black ankle boots are such a staple item for my Autumn wardrobe.

They are comfortable as well as being smart and easy to pair with pretty much any outfit. Personally, I love to wear them with a dress or high waisted skirt with black tights.

They also look great with pair of skinny jeans. If you want to pick some up for yourself… here are a few of my favourite black ankle boots on the high street at the moment.

Has anyone else noticed the amount of metallic clothing in high street stores at the moment, especially in the colour silver?

When it comes to bling and chunky sparkly gems on clothing I am not a fan. I am one hundred percent this metallic trend and hopefully other people are too.

A few items have already crept into my wardrobe already and there will be more joining soon.

The metallic colours have a resemblance of alien or out of space. I love the shimmer that goes with metallics, it is almost magical.

Paired with the right items metallic clothing can be worn in both Summer and Winter. With the weather being unpredictable in the UK at the moment I am personally stuck for what to wear.

I know I am not the only person that feels this way. In terms of colours I think metallics is a good way to go due to how versatile it can be.
